Revolution! 1848 begins a period of wars and uprisings throughout Europe and the Milanese mobilise in the historic "five days" of March: the streets of the city centre become battlefields and the air fills with clouds of gunpowder, streams of tobacco, fires of burning wood and aromas of coffee and cognac: a "raw" masculine olfactory universe, which is reflected in a "lived" fragrance with a decisive and rebellious character.
Ten years after the suppression of the uprisings of 1848, the Milanese will raise their heads and the city will be filled with the words "W Verdi": a hymn to the great composer Giuseppe Verdi, but also a political message in favour of Vittorio Emanuele King of Italy against the Emperor.
