Amboise

The beginning of the French Renaissance is associated with King Francis I of France. The Knight King (as he called himself) became the founder of the Angouleme branch of the Valois dynasty. In addition to his success in conquests, Francis I was also famous for his love of art. He often invited talented architects and artists to France, including Leonardo da Vinci. France as a country in which Rabelais and Ronsard, Goujon and Clouet had the opportunity to create, is the creation of Francis I. During the reign of the Knight King, the solitary image of court life was replaced by luxury, entertainment and a turbulent social life.
The eponymous perfume embodied the versatility of Francis I's character. It combined ambition, chivalrous courtesy, reckless courage, incredible eloquence; it was self-confident and handsome at the same time. Admirers of this perfume have a similar image, in whose code notes of bergamot, rose and pepper can be felt. The heart of the perfume has notes of patchouli, apple and lily of the valley. The lasting refreshing trail is saturated with vanilla, musk, amber and cedar.
