1848!

Revolution! 1848 begins a period of wars and uprisings throughout Europe and the Milanese mobilise in the historic "five days" of March: the streets of the city centre become battlefields and the air fills with clouds of gunpowder, streams of tobacco, fires of burning wood and aromas of coffee and cognac.
